Pablo Picasso was quoted as saying: “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.” This eye opening quote describes so many people including me.
My art endeavors were put on the back burner after high school graduation. Entering the work force, marriage, motherhood, divorce, getting a college degree and having an exciting managerial career took up all my time and energy. Then retirement gave me the opportunity to apply some of my energies into creating art. Acrylic painting and colored pencil are the areas I’ve explored.
The creative side of me is slowly evolving and it is an amazing journey. The best part of this journey is meeting and associating with such a wonderful group of talented artists.
“The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery.”
– Francis Bacon
